Job summary

Universal Healthcare Management Services, Inc. (UHMS) is seeking compassionate Life Skills Facilitator to support youth in our residential program serving court-involved adolescents in Washington, DC.

The Life Skills Facilitator provides supervision, coaching, and life skills training in a structured, therapeutic environment, working closely with clinicians, case managers, and families to help youth achieve educational and vocational goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Associate's or Bachelor's preferred).
• Experience working with adolescents.
• Good driving record and valid drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise youth in a residential setting.
• Teach independent living and life skills.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Prepare and document daily progress notes.
• Transport youth to school, appointments, court, recreation, and community activities.
• Assist youth with educational and vocational goals.
• Implement behavior management strategies.
• Participate in crisis intervention when necessary.
• Work collaboratively with clinicians, case managers, probation officers, schools, and families.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely.

Position Summary

The Life Skills Facilitator provides direct supervision, coaching, mentoring, transportation, and life skills training to youth residing in our residential program. Staff serve as positive role models while ensuring a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities
