Job summary

Allendale Charter Township is seeking a part-time Youth Paraprofessional Librarian for the Allendale, MI library. The role reports to the Library Director and requires a friendly, service-oriented approach to all patrons.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required or equivalent; some college or college degree preferred.
• Three or more years of customer service experience required.
• At least one year of programming and/or event planning experience preferred.
• Familiarity with library environments and clerical procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interact positively and professionally with patrons and staff.
• Plan and assist with youth library programs and outreach events.
• Engage with local organizations and Lakeland Library Cooperative committees.
• Assist patrons with computers and library technology; provide reference and readers' advisory services.
• Register patrons for library cards and manage circulation desk tasks.
