Job summary

The Joliet Public Library is seeking a Youth Services Associate to deliver high-energy customer service and engaging programs at our renovated Ottawa Street location. The role supports kids from birth through high school and involves outreach at family reading nights and local festivals.

We’re looking for someone who loves working with children, works well in a diverse community, and can connect with families. Part-time schedule includes daytime, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Hourly pay: $22 per hour.
• Bachelor’s Degree or Library Technical Assistant certification, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with families and children of all ages.
• Spanish-speaking ability is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive customer service and exciting programming at the Ottawa Street location.
• Participate in outreach events like family reading nights and neighborhood festivals.
• Support programs for kids from birth through high school and engage the community.
