Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate, with proof of diploma.
• CY PROGRAM ASSISTANT (TARGET LEVEL): 18 months in childcare/youth program plus required training.
• 18 months exp plus credential (e.g., child development associate, military school age credential, or other recognized youth credential).
• 18 months exp plus an associate degree with related content.
• Bachelor's degree or 120 credit hours with related content in education/youth development.
• CY PROGRAM ASSISTANT (INTERMEDIATE LEVEL): 18 months in a group program plus 3 AF modules and Orientation.
• CY PROGRAM ASSISTANT (ENTRY LEVEL): This is an entry level position; no previous experience required.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Associate degree with content related to age group

Bachelor's degree with content related to early childhood education / youth development

DoD approved competency-training courses

Child development associate credential or equivalent

Military school age credential or equivalent

120 semester hours with related content
