Job summary

The Salvation Army Midland Division Corps in Springfield, Missouri is seeking a part-time Community Center Program Aide to support after school and day camp activities for youths. You will supervise activities, tutor children, and help with snacks, crafts, and field trips, while maintaining a safe, clean environment and upholding the Salvation Army mission.

This role is less than 20 hours per week with a starting pay of $15.00 per hour, requiring reliability, teamwork, and good communication

Qualifications

• Previous work with youth activities is desirable.
• Requires good communication skills with children and staff.
• Valid driver’s license and passing TSA MVR is a plus.
• Must be certified by American Red Cross (ARC) in CPR and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Supervise members and visitors during activities in the community center.
• Enforce rules as necessary.
• Supervise and participate in all facets of these programs, e.g., recreation, snacks, crafts, field trips, etc.
