Job summary

Merrimack Valley YMCA in Andover, MA is seeking an Entry Level Program Instructor to support youth programs at the Andover Branch. You will assist with curriculum planning, safety, and positive engagement with members, families and volunteers.

As a part-time team member you’ll uphold YMCA values, participate in trainings, and help create a welcoming, safe environment. Prior child-facing experience is helpful; CPR/First Aid certification maintained during employment is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Maintain CPR certification and First Aid throughout employment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service and organizational abilities; able to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum with program director.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the classroom.
• Prioritize safety and well-being of all participants and staff.
• Promote YMCA values (Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility) in daily actions.
• Collaborate with instructors and participate in training and staff meetings.
