Job summary

Gulf Coast JFCS is seeking a Custodial Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness and safety in the Unaccompanied Children Program. You will model positive behavior and ensure a clean, healthy environment for children in care.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with preferred housekeeping/childcare experience. The role offers shift differentials and a benefits package as described.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• One year of experience working with children is preferred.
• Previous professional housekeeping/cleaning experience is preferred.
• Experience in a residential setting is preferred.
• Ability to understand and carry out instructions; communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the Unaccompanied Children Program.
• Change and launder bed linens every 5 days or after a child is released.
• Clean bathrooms daily including sinks, mirrors, toilets; mop floors.
• Vacuum day rooms, hallways, offices, and clients' rooms daily.
• Distribute supplies and maintain inventory of paper products and cleaning supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
