Job summary

First Roles is seeking a Child and Youth Program Assistant (CYPA) at the Peterson SFB Youth Center. You will ensure the safety and whereabouts of children and youth, provide care and supervision, and support activity planning and execution for participants aged 6 weeks to 18 years.

Responsibilities include organizing activities, assisting with snacks/meals, coordinating with staff and parents, and, when required, transporting children in government vehicles.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Hold a high school diploma (or equivalent).
• Immunizations required.
• Able to lift 40 lbs or more and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Child and Youth Program Assistant (CYPA) in one or more child and youth programs.
• Provide care, supervision, and accountability for program participants.
• Assist in preparing age-appropriate activities and supervise indoor/outdoor activities, field trips, outings and events.
