Job summary

Phoenix House Orange County, Inc. is seeking a Prevention Specialist to deliver culturally relevant school- and community-based behavioral health, prevention education, and intervention services for at-risk youth and families.

This role supports data collection, outcomes measurement, and professional collaboration with schools and community partners. Under the supervision of the Prevention Coordinator, you will engage in trainings, maintain records, and contribute to program goals while

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• One year experience providing ATOD prevention services.
• Experience with community-based environmental prevention programs.
• Valid California Driver’s License and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide prevention education using Positive Actions and other evidence-based practices.
• Coordinate behavioral health and prevention services with schools and community groups.
• Conduct crises intervention and referrals for assessment and services.
• Collaborate with school personnel to develop strategies addressing behavioral health and placement options.
• Present and facilitate groups for individuals and families.
• Promote evidence-based curricula and ensure program fidelity.
• Collect data and complete reports for compliance and outcomes measurement.
• Develop community linkages to promote Phoenix House prevention services.
• Attend meetings and participate in staff trainings as required.
