Job summary

St. Leo Catholic Church in Versailles, KY is seeking a faithful, enthusiastic Part-Time Youth Ministry Coordinator to lead our middle and high school programs.

The role focuses on discipleship, formation, prayer, and community, with a strong emphasis on evangelization and service opportunities. Responsibilities include weekly youth nights, curriculum planning, and coordinating regional conferences such as Steubenville and NCYC.

Qualifications

• Faith & Character: Practicing Catholic in good standing with a visible faith life.
• Ministry Experience: Experience with youth in parish, campus, or camp ministry preferred.
• Evangelization Mindset: Understand youth culture and connect with teens authentically.
• Organizational & Communication: Strong written/verbal skills and time management; comfortable with social media, email, and messaging apps.
• Clearance: Pass background check and Safe Environment certification before start.

Responsibilities

• Weekly Youth Nights & Preparation: plan, organize, and run a faith-filled weekly youth gathering.
• Summer Conferences & Seasonal Events: coordinate Steubenville/NCYC registrations and travel; plan local summer activities.
• Volunteer Leadership & Safe Environment: recruit/train adult volunteers; ensure compliance with Safe Environment policies.
• Communication & Parish Integration: inform parents; collaborate with pastor and religious education programs.
