First Presbyterian Church (FPC) of Augusta, Georgia seeks a relational, structured youth ministry assistant director to lead with biblical vision. The ideal candidate will bridge outreach and family ministry, coordinate weekly programs, and model healthy boundaries to sustain long-term youth ministry health.

This role emphasizes weekly discipleship with students, school and community engagement, and leadership development for youth, with opportunities to teach large groups and support retreats

Qualifications

• Spiritual alignment with FPC’s mission and beliefs.
• A completed college degree is required.
• 1–3 years of paid, full-time ministry experience with youth preferred.
• Exceptional organizational and administrative skills with cultural intelligence.
• Willingness to join First Presbyterian Church within six months.

Responsibilities

• Contact Work & Incarnational Ministry (60%): disciple a small group weekly, pray for them, write notes, visit schools.
• Extracurricular Relationship Building: attend student activities to build trust with youth and schools.
• Student Leadership Discipleship: mentor HS leaders in faith and leadership.
• Youth Programs Support (40%): participate in weekly Sunday School and youth meetings, lead discussions.
• Teaching & Event Execution: teach occasionally and help plan retreats and camps.
