Job summary

City of Lincoln is seeking part-time Youth Mentors in Ogden, Utah. The role includes supervision, advocacy, and youth skill development, with a base pay of $15.00 per hour and a flexible schedule.

A probationary period includes a pay raise after 90 days upon successful completion of the probation period. Youth Mentors will provide supervision and support for students with emotional, behavioral, and cognitive challenges, contributing to a safe and structured environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 20 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation required.
• Pass a Criminal Background Check through Utah's Bureau of Criminal Identification.

Responsibilities

• Follow daily program schedule – keep students on task.
• Co-facilitate group classes.
• Co-facilitate activities.
• Monitor and secure building/grounds.
• Complete safety checks.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY FOR YOUTH MENTOR:

• 20 Years of age or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent

REQUIREMENTS IF HIRED AS YOUTH MENTOR:

• Food Handler's Permit
• CPR and First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire
• Attend pre-service and annual trainings, as required
