Northeast Treatment Centers is seeking a dedicated Youth Mentor to support youth in our Philadelphia program, helping to improve engagement, participation, and completion rates. The role involves working with clients both inside and outside the center and requires reliable transportation support.

The position requires a valid PA driver’s license, background clearances, and adherence to safety and program policies. You will coordinate activities with staff and contribute to daily client records.

Formación

• High School Diploma or recognized equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience working with high-risk youth.
• Knowledge of the Philadelphia JJS.
• Valid PA Driver’s License with a clean driving record for the past 5 years.
• Must have current PA Child Abuse, FBI and PA Criminal History Clearances.
• Health Assessment.
• PPD (TB Skin Test).
• PA Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training - ACT 31.
• COVID Vaccination Card.

Responsabilidades

• Transport clients to and from activities as needed.
• Keep daily attendance logs and update client records.
• Participate in daily activities with clients at the center.
• Complete daily forms for client charts.
• Assist Lead Youth Mentor when needed.

Conocimientos

Summary of Position: Youth Mentors support the team and work with the youth referred to the program to improve youth engagement, participation, and successful program completion. The Youth Mentor will work with clients in and outside of the center. Specific functions of the ERC, include transporting clients, keeping daily attendance logs, participating in daily activities with clients at the center and completing daily forms for clients charts. Assisting Lead Youth Mentor whenever needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

The qualified candidate will have a High School Diploma or recognized equivalent and the following:

• at least 2 years experience working with high-risk youth
• knowledge of the Philadelphia JJS
• Valid Drivers License with a clean driving record for the past 5 years.
• Must have current PA Child Abuse, FBI and PA Criminal History Clearances
• Health Assessment
• PPD (TB Skin Test)
• PA Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training - ACT 31
• CPR certification for Adult and Pediatric
• COVID Vaccination Card
