Job summary

SCGA Junior Golf Foundation seeks a Youth Golf Coach to deliver programs and help kids develop golf skills, sportsmanship, and character. This part-time, non-exempt role supports practices year-round with shifts in the evenings and on weekends, including travel to various program sites within the region. The hourly pay ranges from $18.75 to $23.75, based on experience.

Coaches represent the foundation, uphold its values, and create an inclusive, fun learning environment for all participants.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience as coach or mentor preferred.
• Ability to teach golf skills and engage youth.

Responsibilities

• Act as a positive ambassador for golf and the SCGA Junior Golf Foundation.
• Train with Program Manager for lesson planning and program development.
• Mentor youth, showing leadership and integrity.
• Create a structured, safe learning environment by using positive reinforcement.
• Oversee equipment and setup for sessions.
• Engage all participants for a fun, inclusive experience.
• Follow a pre-designed practice schedule.
• Complete required trainings and certifications within the designated timeframe.
• Support program success with extra duties as needed.
