Job summary

Suffolk Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide social and supportive services to children and youth with developmental, physical, or mental health needs. You will work one-on-one in homes or community settings to build independence and life skills based on individualized goals.

Starting pay is $25.00/hour, up to $55.00/hour depending on education and services provided, with flexible scheduling and opportunities for career growth in mental health, speech language, OT, PT,

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: Prior experience with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs is preferred but not required.
• Language: English is required; Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care and guidance to help the child build skills and reach goals.
• Teach independence in self-care, communication, and decision-making.
• Assist with community outings, social events, and everyday tasks to promote inclusion.
