Job summary

The Salvation Army Palm Beach County West Palm Beach, FL invites applications for a Full Time Recreation position. The role supports youth programs, plans activities, and coordinates classes under the Community Center Director, with a 35-hour work week from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous work in related field with Children and Youth preferred.
• Or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Implements and administers programs, services and activities for members in an effective and engaging manner.
• Monitors and evaluates programs, services, and activities to ensure safety and well-being of all members while maintaining high-quality programming and a welcoming environment.
• Assists with the creation and implementation of a class curriculum that supports youth development and promotes program participation.
• Assists with registration of new members, explains programs’ expectations, and participates in orientation processes; provides ongoing guidance and positive role modeling.
