Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking a Youth Development Site Coordinator to lead our after-school program at Maybeury Elementary School. This role emphasizes strong leadership, staff supervision, and meaningful community impact.

You'll design engaging, age-appropriate activities, oversee daily operations, ensure Virginia DOE licensing compliance, and build lasting relationships with families, school partners, and YMCA leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising staff and supporting program operations.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Virginia DOE licensing qualifications (college coursework or CDA) and age 21+.
• Valid drivers license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Designing, planning, and implementing engaging, age-appropriate developmental programs.
• Overseeing day-to-day operations of the child care center.
• Supervising on-site staff and mentoring them.
• Creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for school-age children.
• Building strong relationships with children and families and serving as a communication link.
• Collaborating with school officials and YMCA leadership.
• Ensuring compliance with Virginia DOE licensing requirements and YMCA standards.
• Managing site safety, equipment, and facilities.

Salary Range: $43,000 - $45,000 per year
