Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming (BGCCW) is seeking a Part Time Youth Development Professional to plan, implement, supervise, and evaluate programs across Academic Success, Character & Leadership, Healthy Life Styles, Essential Skills, and Life & Workforce Readiness.

You will create, plan, and oversee targeted activities, monitor programs for safety and quality, and engage members using the seven session elements. Trauma-informed strategies apply; driving a club van may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with youth preferred
• Ability to utilize technology
• Punctual and reliable
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
• Able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, supervise and evaluate a broad range of activities across key outcomes.
• Create and oversee targeted programs and high-yield learning activities.
• Monitor and improve programs to ensure safety and quality.
• Engage youth using the seven elements of a high-quality session: Warm Welcome, Community Builder, Group Agreements, Main Activities, Reflection, Recognition, Transitions.
• Incorporate trauma-informed strategies to manage youth behavior.
• Assist in planning Club events including family and teen nights, community outreach, and other activities.
• May be required to drive a Club van.
• Keep equipment and grounds clean and in good condition.
• Contribute to a positive workplace culture.

The Youth Development Professional (YDP) will plan, implement, supervise, and evaluate a broad range of activities within the priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Character & Leadership, Healthy Life Styles, Essential Skills, and Life & Workforce Readiness.

• Create, plan, and oversee the implementation of targeted programs & high yield learning activities that support the optimal Club experience.
• Monitor, evaluate, and improve programs, services and activities to ensure safety of members, quality of programs, and development of the organization.
• Utilize the 7 elements of a high quality session to engage with you which are Warm Welcome, Community Builder, Group Agreements, Main Activities, Reflection, Recognition, and Transitions.
• Utilize trauma informed strategies to manage youth behavior.
• Participate in planning and implementation of Club events including family nights, teen nights, community events, outreach events, and other events as assigned.
• May be required to drive a Club van.
• Keep Club equipment and grounds clean and in good working condition.
• Contribute to the overall workplace culture of humility, hunger, and people smarts.
