Job summary

The City of Alexandria seeks an Emergency Services Senior Therapist – Youth Specialist to work with youth in crisis, conduct screenings, and coordinate care across ACPS and DCHS teams. You will deliver on-site and mobile crisis interventions, develop safety plans, and document thoroughly within the EHR.

Telework may be available but primarily on-site with flexible shifts. Requires active Virginia licensure or license eligibility, a master’s degree in human services, and experience in crisis

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in human services and clinical experience with psychiatric/substance use disorders.
• Licensed in Virginia as LCSW, LPC, LSATP,Clinical Psychologist or license-eligible with Virginia license within 1 year.
• Experience in crisis services and working with youth in school/community settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical evaluations and pre-admission screenings for crisis cases.
• Provide crisis intervention across settings including schools and offices.
• Coordinate referrals and maintain timely clinical documentation in EHR.
