Job summary

Compass Health is hiring a Youth Support Partner / Peer Counselor to join the Child, Youth & Family Crisis Team in Snohomish County. You will provide emotional support, mentorship, and advocacy to youth and families in behavioral health crises.

This full-time role requires lived experience or caregiver experience, a Washington State Peer Counselor Certification, and plan to obtain Agency Affiliated Counselor status if not already credentialed. 21+ with WA license is needed.

Qualifications

• Lived experience with behavioral health or caregiver experience required.
• Peer Counselor Certification through Washington State required.
• Must obtain Agency Affiliated Counselor status through WA DOH upon hire if not credentialed.
• Be at least 21 years old and have a valid WA Driver's License, vehicle and insurance (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support rooted in shared experience and model recovery.
• Encourage clients to take an active role in their care.
• Connect individuals with community resources and supports.
• Offer support to family members and caregivers.
• Engage in active listening to help clients feel heard and understood.
• Contribute insights from the client’s perspective to treatment planning.
• Advocate for clients in navigating services while honoring their voice.
