Job summary

Compass Health Network seeks a Crisis Clinician for Youth Urgent Care in Saint Peters, MO. This full-time role focuses on crisis assessment, coordination of care for ages 5–17, and trauma-informed support to prevent unnecessary hospitalization.

You will collaborate with nurses and multidisciplinary teams, document thoroughly, and assist with transitions of care across locations, delivering compassionate, culturally responsive services.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred in counseling, social work or psychology.
• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field required or a QAP path with HS.
• High School or equivalent required if qualifying as a QAP.

Responsibilities

• Assess youth in crisis alongside a nurse to determine clinical needs and next steps.
• Serve as the primary assessor for youth in urgent situations, completing intake and diagnostic assessments.
• Guide the flow of care at the YBHUC and coordinate referrals both internally and externally.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation in line with agency and state standards.
• Collaborate with community partners and support seamless transitions of care.
• Ensure culturally responsive, strengths-based support for youth and their families.
• Support the YBHUC team with data collection and provide virtual crisis support to other locations as needed.
