Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is seeking a counselor to design and implement a professional counseling program for assigned students at our Edison, NJ center. You will provide individual and group counseling in line with government and company directives.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with social services coursework and experience with youth, strong communication skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 15 semester hours in social services and 1 year counseling experience.
• Experience with youth; strong written and verbal communication; computer proficiency.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, develop and implement a professional counseling program for assigned students.
• Review background files, conduct interviews and assess to tailor programs.
• Maintain individual folders; prepare UA reports and leave forms.
• Provide individual and group counseling; adjust programs as needed.
• Document progress using CIS and other systems; coordinate with related areas.
• Refer students for medical or psychiatric evaluation and program transfers.
