Job summary

Illinois Farm Bureau is seeking a driven professional to develop and implement outreach programs and events that engage members and prospective members, helping them build leadership skills within Farm Bureau and agriculture.

You will collaborate across teams to plan meetings, conferences, and trips, manage agendas, secure sponsors, and handle logistics. You’ll represent IFB publicly and foster relationships with county Farm Bureaus and volunteers.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with colleagues on the development, direction and management of assigned programs.
  • Plans and executes meetings, events, conferences, and trips of various sizes, including building agendas, marketing and communication, securing sponsors, recruiting participants and volunteers, registration, detailed event logistics, and on-site facilitation.
  • Serves as an ambassador and spokesperson for IFB and assigned program(s) to promote a positive image within the industry and to the public, including presentations to audiences of all sizes.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with staff, county Farm Bureaus (CFBs) and volunteer leadership. Collaborates to promote various programs that engage prospective, new and existing members, including youth, collegiate and Young Leaders.
  • Administers social media platforms.
  • Provides staff assistance and support for division activities and/or represent IFB on various boards, committees and groups throughout the state, as assigned.
