Job summary

Central Rock Gym is looking for a Youth Programs Counselor to cultivate a fun and educational environment for youth. The Counselor will guide rock climbing fundamentals, ensuring youth safety and enjoyment while managing activities.

Successful candidates will have experience with youth in recreational settings and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities include training, supervising groups, and running enriching activities.

The role requires a commitment to the youth program’s operational weeks, with a passion for fostering climbing excitement among young climbers.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with youth in an outdoor/adventure-based or educational setting.
• Strong behavior management skills with youth of all ages.
• Availability during all program operating weeks from morning until mid-afternoon.

Responsibilities

• Oversee assigned groups of attendees and ensure their safety.
• Communicate with staff and Youth Program Director during program hours.
• Run various assigned activities including games and crafts.
