Job summary

Movement Gyms in Denton is seeking a Youth Team Coach to deliver practice content for youth climbing teams and create a welcoming, growth-focused experience for athletes at all levels.

The role supports the season schedule, assists with administrative duties, and offers a gym membership and gear discounts as part of Movement employees’ benefits. This part-time, non-exempt position starts at $14.50–$17.25/hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• This position requires passion for working with youth and developing youth climbing athletes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with athletes, parents, coaches, and gym leadership.
• Knowledge and experience in climbing instruction appropriate to the team level.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practice content to youth climbing teams and craft transformative experiences.
• Follow season schedule and deliver daily instruction including comps and events.
• Coach at practices and competitions as needed based on attendance.
• Supervise youth climbers during belaying and administer practice notes.
• Assist with rosters, belay training tracking, and parent communication.
• Communicate issues promptly to coaching staff and management.
• Collaborate with supervisors to facilitate mentorship and development.
