Job summary

Delta-T Group Los Angeles, Inc. is seeking a Youth Behavioral Aide in the Pasadena area to support high and at-risk youth with behavioral/mental health challenges. Most work occurs in Foster Care Homes under caregiver supervision, with evening and weekend hours and a flexible schedule.

You will engage youths, assist with schoolwork, and redirect challenging behaviors while maintaining a calm and supportive presence. This is a temporary contractor role in the Pasadena area.

Qualifications

• Experience working with at-risk individuals (paid or unpaid).
• Must provide current medical/health documents including: physical examination, TB test, CPR, and First Aid certification.
• High School diploma or higher.

Responsibilities

• Provide services for high and at-risk children and youth with behavior and/or mental health challenges.
• Majority of work will be in Foster Care Homes, under the direction of caregiver/foster parent.
• Engage with the youths. Assist with schoolwork and ask about their life (likes or dislikes).
• Provide line of sight supervision without overwhelming the child.
• Redirect negative and problematic behaviors.

CLIENT'S REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• Experience working with at risk individuals (paid or unpaid)
• Produce current medical/health documents including: physical examination, Tuberculosis/TB Skin Test, CPR, and First Aid certification
• High School diploma or higher
• Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.
