Job summary

Family Support Services of Suncoast LLC in Largo, FL is seeking a part-time Youth Care Specialist to support Providence House, enforcing house rules and implementing behavior plans to ensure resident safety and engagement. You will review records, attend meetings, and help residents achieve their Individual Service Plan outcomes while maintaining professional boundaries and collaborating with staff.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, 1 year with at-risk youth, valid driver's license, CPR

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate/Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field preferred.
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience working with at-risk children.
• Licensure/Certification: Valid driver's license; CPR, PCM; Florida abuse/neglect checks; E-Verify.
• Ability to perform essential duties including irregular hours and shift rotation.

Responsibilities

• Implement house rules and individual behavior management plans.
• Ensure all incidents and events are reported promptly to appropriate parties.
• Participate in required house and organizational meetings.
• Provide feedback on residents' behaviors, needs, and progress on outcomes in the ISP.
• Review youth records to coordinate supports before supervision.
• Complete assigned shift duties and required trainings.
• Other duties as needed.

Youth Care Specialist Part TimeThe mission of Family Support Services is to be the leader in providing safety, stability, and quality of life for all children by working with the community to strengthen the family unit.Job Summary:The Youth Care Specialist is a direct care staff position responsible for the daily activities of the FSS licensed group home, Providence House, which includes facility and program documentation, implementing house rules and behavior plans, and providing for the safety and well-being of residents. This position has an emphasis on engaging high-risk youth assigned to the home in overcoming obstacles that contribute to placement instability.Essential Duties:Implement house rules for residents, including individual behavior management plans.Ensure all incidents, injuries, and/or events are reported to the appropriate parties and in a timely manner.Participate in all required house and organizational meetings.Provide feedback on residents’ behaviors, needs, and progress on outcomes established in the Individual Service Plan.Thoroughly reviewing youth records and placement needs to ensure all available supports are requested and received prior to youth supervision.Complete assigned shift duties and responsibilities.Complete all required trainings.Other Duties As neededSchedule: Saturday 8am-2pm, Sunday 1pm-10pm, Wednesday 4pm-10pm.Minimum Qualifications:Education: A High School Diploma or GED required.
