Job summary

North Homes Residential Programs is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a part-time 0.8 FTE position to support youth care in our community setting. The role focuses on assessments, coordination, and delivering comprehensive nursing care to residents.

You will oversee medication administration, provide essential training in First Aid, Blood-borne Pathogens, and medication management, and mentor staff while ensuring compliance with medical standards across our residential programs.

Qualifications

• Minnesota RN license required; Public Health Nursing Certification a plus; Child and Teen Certification preferred.
• Experience in health assessment and working with children/adolescents is valuable.
• ACLS/First Aid/CPR training instructor certification from Red Cross preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct health screenings and assessments for clients within defined timeframes.
• Monitor medication administration and maintain MAR and stock.
• Provide staff training on medications and relevant health topics.
• Coordinate care and communicate with parents/guardians and other providers about medical plans.
• Flexibly take on additional duties to support the agency’s mission.
