Job summary

City of Fishers is seeking Junior Camp Counselors to support Fall, Winter, and Spring Break Camps at the Fishers Community Center. You will help lead daily activities, supervise campers, and contribute to a positive camp experience under supervision of the Camp Manager and Head Counselor.

The role is supplemental part-time with a starting salary of $12.00 per hour. Positions may offer opportunities to transition into Summer Camp programs for high-performing staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Prior experience with children preferred but not required.
• Enthusiastic, dependable, and passionate about youth development.

Responsibilities

• Support the camp counselor in actively supervising campers to ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment.
• Assist and participate in camp activities such as games, crafts, sports, and group activities.
• Maintain appropriate camper to staff ratios and ensure constant awareness of camper whereabouts and needs.
