Job summary

Child & Family Support Services (CFSS) is seeking a Direct Support Specialist in Coconino County for a full-time role. You will work with children and adolescents, providing one-on-one and small group support, and helping implement treatment plans under supervision.

A positive impact on community well-being is expected. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of relevant experience, a valid Arizona driver’s license, and CPR/First Aid training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; related bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• At least one year of experience working with children with behavioral and emotional challenges.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and coach children and adolescents to maximize potential.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support in community settings.
• Implement treatment plans and provide progress updates to supervising clinician.
• Plan engaging activities to support emotional regulation, social skills and positive behaviors.
• Teach life skills such as communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and self-care.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and community partners.
• Complete documentation including progress notes and required paperwork.
• Work effectively within a team and attend supervision and meetings.

Education

High school diploma or GED
