Job summary

Denali Family Services seeks a Behavioral Health Associate to support children and adolescents with emotional or behavioral challenges. This entry-level role focuses on developing coping, communication, and daily living skills across home, school, and community settings.

You will work under clinical supervision, documenting progress, and engaging in team meetings to ensure quality care and adherence to HIPAA and agency policies.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; college coursework in human services, psychology, or a related field preferred.
  • One year of experience working with children or adolescents.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid Alaska driver’s license and insurable driving record required.
  • Ability to pass State and FBI background checks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group skills training for children and adolescents.
  • Implement and document treatment goals established by the clinical team.
  • Build and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients and families.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings, supervision, and training sessions.
  • Accurately complete documentation in the agency’s electronic health record (CareLogic) within required timelines.
  • Safely transport clients as needed to and from agency or community settings.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times in compliance with HIPAA and agency policy.
