Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta Forsyth County Family YMCA is hiring a Basketball Gym Monitor to supervise the gym, ensure safety, set up equipment, enforce rules, and assist staff. You will respond to incidents, maintain facilities, and support program activities in a family-friendly environment.

Candidates should be at least 18, have 1+ year related experience preferred, and hold current CPR/AED certification. A pre-employment background check and screenings are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• One year or more of related experience preferred.
• Current state approved CPR/AED certification required.
• Professional appearance appropriate for a family-friendly environment.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check including Criminal Record check, Drug Screening, motor vehicle record (MVR) and reference check.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the gym and surrounding areas to ensure safety and welfare of users.
• Report and monitor all mechanical and equipment problems.
• Set up equipment and return equipment to storage.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of facilities and equipment.
• Tactfully enforce all rules, regulations and policies.
• Maintain proper documentation and reports incidents and accidents.
• Assist other staff.
• Answer inquiries from participants and provide information.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Abide by and enforce Metro Atlanta YMCA’s Keeping Kids Safe Policies and Safety Protocols.
