Qualifications

Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or equivalent Illinois licensure required.
Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in behavioral health or prevention programming.
Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or management experience.
Experience developing, implementing, and evaluating community-based programs.
Experience managing grants, contracts, and program compliance requirements.

Job Title: Youth and Family Services Manager

Status: Full-Time, Exempt, Onsite

Department: Youth and Family Services

Reports To: Director of Finance and Administration

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (occasional evening/weekend programming and events)

Location: 401 N. Addison Road, Addison, IL 60101

Position Summary

The Youth and Family Services Manager provides leadership and oversight for Addison Township's Youth and Family Services Department, serving as the department's senior clinical and programmatic leader.

The Manager is responsible for developing and overseeing counseling services, youth and family programming, prevention initiatives, workshops, and after-school programming while ensuring all services are delivered in accordance with professional, ethical, and legal standards.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong clinical expertise, experience developing innovative programs, and a commitment to improving the well-being of youth and families within the community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Program Leadership and Administration

Develop, implement, and oversee clinical counseling, prevention, and educational programming for Township residents.
Establish new programs and services based on identified community needs and organizational priorities.
Ensure programs are delivered using evidence-based practices and meet established performance outcomes.
Develop policies, procedures, and operational standards for department services.
Monitor program effectiveness and recommend improvements to enhance service delivery and community impact.
Prepare reports, program updates, and performance metrics for Township leadership and the Board of Trustees as required.

Clinical Services Oversight

Oversee counseling and related support services provided by licensed professionals.
Ensure compliance with applicable ethical, licensing, confidentiality, and recordkeeping requirements.
Support implementation of individual, family, and group counseling services.
Maintain awareness of emerging best practices and trends in behavioral health and prevention services.

Staff Supervision and Development

Recruit, supervise, train, and evaluate department staff and interns.
Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable work environment.
Provide guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities to department personnel.
Ensure staff maintain required credentials, certifications, and training requirements.

Community Outreach and Partnerships

Develop and maintain partnerships with schools, community organizations, healthcare providers, and government agencies.
Represent Addison Township at meetings, events, and collaborative initiatives.
Support outreach efforts to increase awareness of Township services and programs.
Assist with public education efforts, presentations, and community engagement activities.

Grants, Funding, and Sustainability

Oversee compliance with grant requirements, reporting obligations, and program outcomes.
Assist with identifying and pursuing grant opportunities and other funding sources.
Support long-term program sustainability through strategic planning and resource development.
Coordinate collection and reporting of program data required by funding agencies and stakeholders.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and computer use.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Some local travel may be required for meetings, outreach activities, training, and community events.
Occasional evening and weekend hours required to support programs and community engagement activities.
