Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. is seeking dedicated individuals for hourly, part-time Advocate positions serving youth and families across Essex County.

Advocates will mentor and support youth in school, home, and community settings, working with schools and social service agencies to ensure students have the resources to thrive. Ideal candidates are reliable, strong role models with excellent communication skills and a passion for empowering families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates or higher preferred in related fields (Social Work, Psychology, Education).
• Prior experience with youth and families in community, school, or home settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and support youth and families in school, home, and community environments.
• Collaborate with schools, social service agencies, and community partners to provide coordinated support.
• Serve as a positive role model and reliable team member for youth.
• Initiate, organize, plan, and implement direct advocacy services for participants and families.
• Work with wraparound service plans based on a strength-based approach.
