Job summary

Good Shepherd Services is seeking an Activity Specialist to lead youth-centered classes at 120 E. 184th Street, Bronx, NY. Hours are 8–10 per week, non-exempt, September through June, with a 2 pm–6 pm Monday through Friday schedule.

The role supports arts, theater, music, coding, robotics and more through engaging curriculum and hands-on projects. You will prepare age- and skill-appropriate lessons, track student progress, participate in staff meetings, and contribute to a safe, strengths-based

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with youth and teaching/coaching encouraged.
• Flexible, creative, and enthusiastic about working with young people.

Responsibilities

• Prepare age- and skill-appropriate curriculum, lesson plans, and activities.
• Work with participants to develop artistic, educational, and leadership potential.
• Pre-planning of activities with structured routines and meaningful endings.
• Facilitate scaffolded activities to promote teamwork and growth.
• Attend staff meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
