Job summary
CorePower Yoga, LLC in Minneapolis seeks a dedicated CorePower Yoga Teacher to deliver exceptional class experiences and guide students while upholding CPY values in every interaction.
As a teacher, you’ll handle front desk duties, assist with class planning, and engage with the local community while maintaining safety and inclusivity across heated and non-heated sessions.
Qualifications
- 200-hour yoga teacher training completed prior to June 2020 with CE credits.
- Post-2020: 200-hour training (in person/online) and/or CPY Online Teacher Training and/or 50HR Yoga Sculpt Intensive.
- CPR/AED certification is required.
- High School diploma is preferred.
- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Ability to lead students in physical activity for up to 1.5 hours.
- Ability to withstand temperatures up to 104 degrees for 60 minutes in heated classes.
Responsibilities
- Teach a minimum of two CorePower Yoga classes per week for at least four hours of studio time.
- Educate students on alignment, offer posture modifications as appropriate, and use CPY cueing formulas.
- Arrive 30 minutes before and remain 30 minutes after each class to review communications, plan CPY-aligned classes, and connect with the student community.
- Connect with students before and after class to support personal growth and studio initiatives.
- Welcome students, check them into class, manage POS transactions, and ensure a memorable student experience.
- Perform cleaning tasks to uphold CPY health protocols.
- Contribute to a supportive studio environment by upholding CPY Core Values and fostering positive relationships.
- Act as in-studio ambassador for CPY initiatives, memberships, programming, lifestyle programs, and retail.

A CorePower Yoga Teacher delivers an extraordinary experience. As a Teacher, you will provide this experience through a welcoming front desk check-in process, guiding students through a CPY-aligned class, and supporting each individual student to live their power. Our teachers cultivate supportive relationships by making themselves accessible and approachable, ensuring student safety, and embodying the CPY Core Values at all times.
- Teach a minimum of two (2) CorePower Yoga classes per week for a minimum of four (4) hours of studio time.
- Serve the community and provide a consistent, safe space to practice by educating students on alignment, offering posture modifications as appropriate, and consistently using CPY cueing formulas.
- Arrive at the studio 30 minutes before and remain 30 minutes after each class to review studio communications, plan CPY-aligned classes using CPY class planning and support tools, and connect with the student community.
- Connect with students before and after class in support of personal growth, studio growth, and current CPY initiatives.
- Welcome students, check students into class, navigate POS transactions, perform front desk duties, and ensure a memorable student experience.
- Perform assigned cleaning tasks to ensure CPY Smart Health Protocol standards are met for student and employee safety.
- Contribute to a supportive and fun studio environment by upholding CPY Core Values and fostering positive working relationships.
- Act as an in-studio ambassador for all current CPY initiatives and business streams, including All Access Membership, programming, lifestyle programs, and retail.
- Required training certifications based on completion date:
- - Prior to June 2020: 200-hour yoga teacher training plus required continuing education for applicable formats.
- - After June 2020: Format-related 200-hour yoga teacher training (in person or online), CorePower Yoga Online Teacher Training, and/or completion of 50HR Yoga Sculpt Intensive.
- Current CPR/AED certification required.
- High School diploma preferred.
- Excellent oral communication skills, professionalism, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Ability to lead students in physical activity for up to 1.5 hours at a time.
- Ability to withstand temperatures up to 104 degrees for a minimum of 60 minutes in heated classes.
- Assigned studio set including a home studio and supporting studios for scheduling, feedback, and community growth.
- Ability to move throughout the studio space, crouch, bend, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs.
