Movement in Mountain View is seeking a passionate yoga instructor to join our community. You will lead high quality classes, focusing on strength, flexibility, mobility, and mindfulness, while ensuring a safe, educational experience for all levels.

The role requires 200-hour certification (500-hour preferred) and 1+ year teaching experience. Weekend and noon coverage are essential, with flexibility to cover Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, and Mountain View locations.

Qualifications

• 200-hour certification minimum from a recognized yoga program.
• 1+ year teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to adapt to early morning, mid-day, evening, and weekend schedules.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide world-class customer service
• Teach high quality yoga classes with a focus in improving strength, flexibility, mobility, and stability
• Teach a safe, educational, and professional class
• Use succinct cueing delivered with a full range of expression
• Incorporate breath work and encourage mindfulness
• Accommodate different levels of fitness and abilities by offering modifications
• Create a clean, organized, and comfortable environment for the practice of yoga
• Building community: have strong attendance during peak-time classes and off-peak classes demonstrate consistent attendance building over time

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 200-hour, preferred 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher from a nationally recognized organization
• Minimum 1 year teaching experience, preferred 2+ years teaching experience
• 1.5 years teaching experience (equivalent of 2 classes/week for 1.5 years or 150+ hours teaching)
• Ongoing ability to substitute supporting classes at Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, and Mountain View
• Ability to regularly support with advanced and short notice during: Early Morning, Late Morning-Noon, Evening, and weekend classes
• Have a passion for Yoga and an interest in climbing!

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Pay range is commensurate with experience and starts at $43.00-45.00 per hour

Weekend and weekday noon coverage is essential.
