Job summary

Lake Forest Recreation Department is seeking a certified Yoga Instructor to lead yoga sessions at the department’s fitness center in Lake Forest. You should be motivated, friendly, outgoing and able to connect with our group exercise members.

Weekday and Saturday morning availability is required; previous instruction experience is preferred but not required. Salary is based on experience and commensurate with municipal rates.

Qualifications

• Must be certified yoga instructor with ability to motivate and educate while promoting healthy living.
• Previous experience as an instructor preferred but not required.
• Weekday and Saturday morning availability is required.

• Deliver entertaining, motivating, engaging, and educational yoga classes to keep clients satisfied and motivated.
• Monitor and connect with students during classes by guiding breath and awareness.
• Listen to members, answer questions, and engage in conversation before and after classes.

• Instructors must be able to motivate and educate while promoting healthy living and well-being.
• Delivers entertaining, exciting, motivational, engaging, empowering, educational, and professional yoga classes to ensure clients are satisfied with their yoga experience and remain motivated to attain their personal goals
• Monitors and connects to students during classes by educating and inspiring them on breath and personal sensation.
• Listens to members, answers questions, and engages in conversation before and after classes.

• 200 RYT or equivalent
• CPR and AED Certified
