Job summary

YMCA Sports Coordinator (Full-Time) at YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg coordinates youth and adult sports programs, supervises staff and volunteers, and ensures member satisfaction across multiple locations in the Tampa Bay area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent training/experience.
• Certifications: CPR/AED and First Aid within 90 days.
• Clear a Level 2 background check.
• Pass a 10-panel urinalysis drug screen.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists with selection, supervision, training and evaluation of volunteers.
• Assists supervision of sports programs to ensure high quality delivery.
• Assigns athletes to teams and communicates program info to parents/guardians.
• Responds to member needs in a timely manner.
• Maintains safe, clean field areas and gear.
