Job summary

Skyworks in Thousand Oaks is seeking a capable Yield Engineering intern for the 2027 Summer program, May–August 2026, to support production yield analysis and automation at the Newbury Park fab. You will develop and monitor Pareto charts, review lots, and drive continuous yield improvements across departments.

Ideal candidates are pursuing BS/MS in EE, CS, or related fields, with software development skills, Excel macro experience, and the ability to produce clear, maintainable code for

Responsibilities

• Automate yield report generation for daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
• Assist with yield improvement projects for GaAs HBT processes at the Newbury Park fab.
• Review and deposition of production and engineering lots; perform root cause analyses and Pareto analysis.

Seeking a talented, capable, and resourceful 2027 Summer (May to August) intern student to be a member of the Yield Engineering team, responsible for reviewing and deposition of all production and engineering lots, developing and monitoring yield Pareto's in wafer fab and at test, performing root cause analysts of top issues, providing Pareto's and potential causes to other functional departments for addressing top issues, and planning and managing a continuous yield improvement activity across all departments for the Newbury Park wafer fab.

Responsibilities

This individual will work on automation of yield report generation for daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports. There will be other opportunities to help with yield improvement projects for the GaAs HBT processes for the Newbury Park wafer fab.

Required Experience and Skills

• Candidate must be enrolled in a B S or M S college program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or related technical field
• Must be able to work onsite up to 3-months (May to August 2026)
• Software development knowledge
• Generation of Excel macros
• Generation of clear code that can be followed by other engineers for continuous maintenance of application

Desired Experience and Skills

• Hands-on skills in software development
• Higher level computer programming skills, such as C or Python
• Experience in data analysis of large data sets
• Generation of scripts for Camline

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
