Job summary

Biospringer, a Lesaffre Business Unit, invites applications for a Yeast Extract Process Engineer on a VIE contract in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. For 18 months, you will optimize production processes (autolysis, microfiltration, drying) and support new equipment start-ups.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in food-industrial engineering, has at least one year of industrial experience, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in food-industrial engineering.
• At least 1 year of industrial field experience (postgraduate).
• Fluent English is mandatory.
• Solid knowledge of units operations of industrial processes.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment with autonomy, initiative, and teamwork skills.
• Strong communication skills and a hands-on engineering mindset.

Responsibilities

• Optimize production processes (autolysis, microfiltration, drying, etc.) alongside the group's industrial management.
• Support the drying department at Cedar Rapids.
• Conduct and coordinate studies and continuous improvement actions in terms of time, organization, and cost.
• Participate in the start-up of new installations.
• Lead industrial trials.
• Take on other assigned projects.
