Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a Yard Worker/Forklift Operator in Othello, WA. The role supports yard flow and delivers strong customer service while safely handling materials.

You will operate forklifts, verify orders, stock inventory, and maintain a clean, safe yard. The position requires dependability, teamwork, and attention to detail to help build homes and communities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months related experience in lumber, building materials, warehouse, yard operations, or similar environment preferred.
• OSHA Forklift Certification required or ability to obtain certification as required by the location.
• Ability to read and understand invoices, work orders, and other documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with locating, retrieving, and loading building materials.
• Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move products throughout the yard.
• Verify materials against invoices and customer orders to ensure accuracy.

As a Yard Worker, you will help maintain the flow of materials throughout our yard while delivering excellent customer service.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed primarily outdoors and may involve exposure to changing weather conditions, equipment noise, and dust. Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds. Ability to climb into and out of forklift equipment and operate controls safely.
