Holub Recycling, Inc. / City Scrap & Salvage in Akron, OH is seeking a dependable Yard Worker to assist with sorting, moving, processing, loading and unloading scrap metal and recyclables. This is a hands-on role in a busy recycling operation.

You will help keep materials organized, maintain clean and safe work areas, and assist equipment operators and drivers. Applicants should be prepared for outdoor work in varying weather and physical labor throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Sorting scrap metal and recyclable materials
• Moving and processing materials within the yard
• Loading and unloading from containers, trucks, and equipment
• Keeping yard organized and clean; maintaining safe work areas
• Assisting equipment operators and drivers as needed
• Completing general yard and labor duties as assigned
• Staying aware of surroundings and following all safety procedures

Job description

Holub Recycling, Inc. / City Scrap & Salvage is looking for a dependable, hardworking Yard Worker to join our recycling and scrap-metal operation. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who prefers active work and enjoys contributing as part of a team.

The Yard Worker will assist with sorting, moving, processing, loading, and unloading scrap metal and recyclable materials. Additional responsibilities include keeping materials organized, maintaining clean and safe work areas, assisting equipment operators and drivers, and completing general yard and labor duties as assigned. Employees must remain aware of their surroundings and follow all company safety procedures.

Candidates should be comfortable performing physical work throughout the day and working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Previous experience in recycling, scrap metal, construction, manufacturing, warehouse operations, landscaping, or general labor is preferred but not required. We are looking for individuals who are dependable, willing to learn, able to follow directions, and comfortable working in an active environment.
