Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a Receiving Clerk to handle daily receipt of merchandise from vendor trucks and ensure accurate inspection against receiving documents. You will unload and move shipments to storage, forward documents for processing, and support the warehouse team with a focus on safety, accuracy, and timely handling of goods.

Experience in warehousing and basic math is helpful. GED or high school diploma required; trainable candidates accepted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training preferred or can be trained on the job.
• Commitment to accuracy, safety, and quality in handling merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Examines shipment for defects and shortages against receiving documents.
• Records factors causing goods to be returned.
• Unloads and moves incoming shipments to storage.
• Forwards approved receiving documents to appropriate department for processing.
• Other duties as assigned.
