Job summary

Home Hardware Center, Inc. seeks yard and warehouse associates to deliver excellent customer service while handling merchandise, unloading trucks, and assisting customers in-store and on job sites.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts, stocking yard and warehouse areas, assisting drivers, and ensuring loads are prepared accurately. Candidates should have forklift certification, basic math and strong communication skills; high school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have forklift certification and delivery experience.
• Able to lift and load merchandise up to 100 lbs and reach above six feet.
• Strong customer service and basic math, reading, and speaking skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and contractors in the yard or warehouse.
• Operate forklift to merchandise and stock yard and warehouse.
• Assist truck drivers in delivery of merchandise to homes and job sites.
• Load materials into customers' vehicles or company delivery trucks.
• Develop expertise with forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment.
• Unload incoming freight without damage to goods or equipment.
• Accurately build loads and prepare materials for delivery.
• Identify product shortages and report to store management.
• Maintain yard and warehouse in clean, orderly condition.
• Assist cashiers or other store personnel as requested.
• Follow safety guidelines and participate in regular safety meetings.
