Penske Logistics is hiring immediate opportunities for full-time Class A Yard Drivers in Sacramento, CA. You will drive late-model Penske trucks, move trailers, and perform dock operations, with home daily and weekly pay.

Schedule is five consecutive days with weekends required, starting at 4:00 AM. Compensation up to $80,000 annually plus a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision and retirement plans. Penske values safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required; domicile in the U.S.
• DOT medical card required
• 1 year tractor-trailer experience in last 3 years or 2 years in past 5
• Clean DMV/MVR with two or fewer moving violations
• English language proficiency per federal law
• Must meet schedule, location, background check and drug screen requirements
• Position regulated as safety sensitive by Penske

You will drive:

• Late model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks

What you will do:

• Move trailers in and out of the dock as directed by management
• Couple and uncouple trailers
• Chocking trailers as they are spotted for loading and unloading and pulling from doors
• Must be flexible and willing to leave the yard as needed to support local deliveries and recoveries
• Checking tires and fuel throughout the day

Schedule:

• 5 consecutive days, with weekends required. Days off occur back‑to‑back during the week.
• 4:00 AM start time

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the past 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.

• The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
