Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking a CDL Class A Yard Truck Driver in North Little Rock to move trailers and support yard and warehouse operations. You will operate Penske trucks, couple/uncouple trailers, and ensure safe handling of cargo in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, DOT medical card, and a clean DMV/MVR history. Expect a Monday–Thursday schedule with a 4:00 pm start, home daily, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and DOT medical card.
• 1 year tractor-trailer experience in last 3 years or 2 years in last 5 years.
• 3 years DMV/MVR with two or fewer violations/accidents.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
• English language proficiency per federal law 49 CFR 391.11(b)(2).
• Commitment to regular, predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers in and out of dock as directed by management.
• Couple and uncouple trailers.
• Chock trailers as they are spotted for loading/unloading and pulling from doors.
• Assist with warehouse operations, split time between yard and warehouse responsibilities.

Immediate Opportunities: Full-time Class A Yard Drivers

• $24.50 per hour with overtime after 40 hours
• $1.00 Shift Differential Available
• Home daily
• 4 day work week

You will drive:

• Late model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks
• Best-in-class specs designed for comfort and safety
• Equipped with inward and outward facing in-cab cameras helping to ensure safety for all

What you will do:

• Move trailers in and out of dock as directed by management
• Couple and uncouple trailers
• Chocking trailers as they are spotted for loading and unloading and pulling from doors
• Assist with warehouse operations as needed, splitting time between yard and warehouse responsibilities

Schedule:

• Monday through Thursday
• 4:00 pm start time

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the past 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
