Penske is seeking part-time CDL Class A Yard Drivers in Batavia, IL. Drivers will move trailers, couple/uncouple, and assist with loading/unloading operations. The role offers home daily, overtime potential, and a 3-day work week with a weekend-forward schedule (Thu–Sat).

The position requires a valid Class A CDL, DOT medical card, and clean DMV/MVR. Penlogistics provides a supportive, safety-focused environment with frequent training opportunities and nationwide reach.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence.
• DOT medical card (non-excepted interstate) required.
• 1 year of tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years or 2 years in last 5 years.
• DMV/MVR with two or fewer incidents in the last 3 years.

Immediate Opportunities: Part-Time Class A Yard Drivers

• Average $40,981 annually


• Earn $26.27 per hour with overtime available if exceeding 40 hours


• 3 day work-week


• Home daily

You will drive:

• Late model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks

What you will do:

• Move trailers in and out of dock as directed by management


• Couple and uncouple trailers


• Chocking trailers as they are spotted for loading and unloading and pulling from doors

Schedule:

• Thursday through Saturday


• 7:00 AM start time


• 4 days off per week

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence


• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required


• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the past 5 years


• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents


• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines


• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job


• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency


• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.


• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.

• The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
