Job summary

Opifex-Synergy is seeking a Yard Technician to keep the yard clean and rental equipment organized, aiding customers with check-in/check-out and basic operation training. You will fuel, log, and stage gear for deliveries while maintaining safety and orderly equipment placement in varied outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, ensuring tags and keys, and assisting with field pickups. A valid driver's license and ability to work independently are essential.

The Yard Technician maintains the cleanliness of the yard and keeps rental equipment organized to minimize customer wait time. This position assists customers with equipment check-in, check-out, and provides basic operational guidance.

Essential Functions

Required Education and Experience

Work Environment

• Work is primarily conducted in construction sites, equipment yards, and transportation routes
• Regular exposure to heavy machinery and diesel-powered equipment
• Frequent outdoor work in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and wind
• Physically demanding environment with uneven terrain, dust, mud, and loud noise levels
• Duties may involve both shop-based and fieldwork activities
• Strict adherence to safety protocols is required at all times
• PPE such as steel-toe boots, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection must be worn as required
• Must be comfortable operating around large equipment and working in active environments
• Lifting heavy components and materials is frequently required
• Flexibility and adaptability are essential due to changing job site conditions

• Requires a high level of physical stamina and mobility
• Frequent lifting, carrying, and maneuvering of equipment up to 50 pounds or more
• Regular bending, squatting, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
• Prolonged standing and walking on uneven terrain such as gravel, dirt, or pavement
• Climbing in and out of trucks, trailers, and equipment
• Ability to work from various heights and maintain balanceManual dexterity and coordination required for securing equipment and completing documentation
• Must safely operate vehicles and remain alert in active environments
• Occasional pushing and pulling of heavy materials
