Job summary

EquipmentShare in Detroit is hiring a Yard Technician to help keep the rental facility's yard organized and safe. You will inspect equipment, document movements, assist with routine maintenance, and help load and unload gear while delivering hands-on support in a fast-paced environment.

This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime after 40 hours and on-call scheduling with additional compensation.

Qualifications

• Safety training is required and PPE when applicable.
• Occasional lifting may be required up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and report equipment condition before and after use.
• Document incoming and outgoing equipment.
• Assist with routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance.
• Demonstrate, load and unload equipment.
• Maintain equipment inventory systems.
• Keep yard and shop clean per SOPs.
• Uphold safety standards and a customer-focused culture.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
